Our people needs to be environmentally inspired and motivated

While creating awareness about the environment is not easy in cities, the challenge is even more daunting in rural areas, where education levels are generally low and poverty is widespread. I therefore believe that its only the spirit of volunteerism amongst our people that will be able to build an impact driven force that will positively contribute to environmental awareness building a cross all our communities

So, as responsible environmentalists and professional community development workers, all we need to do is to voluntarily continue to reach out and inspire our communities about the benefits of preserving and protecting the nature of our environmental. As this can target a mass group of audience to share certain environmental ideas at a time with, it can also act a platform for mentoring and building a carder of young environmental volunteers who can be influential and instrumental in reaching out to promote environmental stewardship in all our rural communities.

I sincerely believe that if our communities can get good practical guidelines and knowledge on how to act in a more environmental friendly manner then their behaviors can be influenced and changed positively towards how they relate and act towards the nature of environment.

Though the concept of volunteerism and willingness to work for the good of will of our communities is no longer popular in our African setting, we can think of how we can re-do it as environmentalists so that we can continue to safeguard the beauty of planet environment and it’s the only way we can reach out to help our rural communities contribute positively to our environment. I am pretty sure that if we can successfully reach out and train these people, trust me they will also be able to do the same with other villages.

Environmental Sensitization and Education needs to be empahised in all public Institutions

Advocating for environmental education is just as important in the developing world as it is in industrialized nations; however, many indicators have shown that reaching out to these people in their communities is still very difficult due to the challenges of language barriers, illiteracy, and cultural differences that are continuing to stop many communities here in Uganda from participating in learning new methods and practices of how we can continue to protect our environment.

Therefore educating children and young adults about environmental problems is very crucial for long-term success. Training and sensitizing our people with this knowledge will help to foster a sense of responsibility and "proactive citizenship," so that when they become adults they will make choices that help the environment rather than harming it.
Unless we become very sincere and open to these people on how they should change their attitude towards their surrounding, disasters like landslides, elinino rains, Tsunami, epidemics like cholera, endemics like typhoid, are still bound to continue threatening their lives.
All these environmental problems that have been affecting us for a decade are real. But what have we been able to do as Africans and the rest of the world to reach out and provide solutions that are currently needed. We may blame or rely on the government to help us reduce this devastating conditions yet the first solutions that are needed are within our means; Lets all wake up regardless of whether the governments intervene or not because all I know is that these problems affects us all. These problems will affect each one of us and they will have a serious impact on our health, our food and our environment.
We may not pay much attention to these environmental problems because we don't understand how dangerous they’re in affecting our future generation lifestyle.  Please lets raise up and do some thing about the future of our planet
